Bible Study Lessons
Over the years I’ve taught the Bible in a variety of different settings. I’ve taught Adult Christian Education classes (we used to call it “Sunday School”) in a number of different churches, both as a pastor and as a layman. I’ve also taught home Bible Study groups at various times. For about three years I was the Pastor/Teacher (a volunteer position) for the Beaverton Christian Singles, which met at Beaverton Christian Church in – you guessed it – Beaverton, Oregon.
I’ve decided to post some of those Bible Study notes here, in case anyone is interested. Feel free to use them – although, keep in mind, the right thing to do is give me a little credit, and cite your source. Print them, use them as handouts, modify them, take excerpts that are useful to the class you’re teaching, whatever. They are offered “as is,” and you can take it from here.
But now, a sort of disclaimer: I never preached or taught from a manuscript. That means these teaching notes are just that – notes. Most of the time, my meaning will be clear, but in some cases, you may run across something that seems a little vague or incomplete. If you want to contact me and ask, I’ll do my best to make a prompt reply. (“Bob, I want to use this lesson, but for the life of me I can’t figure out what you meant by your little two word comment on verse 6.”) Well, if I can look at it and remember, I’ll be glad to fill you in, by email, phone, Skype, or Google Hangouts.
To make them easier to find, they’ll all be categorized as “Bible Study,” so if you use the blog category section, you’ll be able to filter a list.
May God bless you as you follow his son, Jesus.
